Since the 2016 elections, “fake news” has become a favorite cliche in public discourse. It has also directly affected how people perceive information sources. Tribalism, community discussion groups, and person-to-person conversations are replacing traditional information sources and, as a result, they’re affecting how businesses market to their tribes.
